Our Learning environment

The children are able to access resources around the classroom independently to support their own learning and play.

The Garden

The children have full access to the garden every day, whatever the weather!

Here at Woodlands Day Nursery, we have spaces for 29 children per session.

Morning session: 8.30 – 11.30 (excluding lunch)

Afternoon session: 11.30 – 3.30 (including lunch)

All day: 8.30 – 3.30 (including lunch)

All children are entitled to 15 hours of nursery funding, eligible families can receive 30 hours funded. Extra sessions beyond the funded hours are £4 an hour.

Communication

At Woodlands Day Nursery we document the children’s learning via our online learning journal, Tapestry. When your child starts with us, we will ask you for your email address so that we can set up an account for you. That way you will be able to read observations about your child’s learning throughout their time with us.

We also use Class Dojo, an online platform that allows you to communicate with your child’s key person. Staff are quick to respond to questions and queries and will also upload a weekly post about what the children have been learning in nursery that week, along with some photos.
