Pupil Premium

The Pupil Premium is additional funding given to publicly funded schools in England to raise the attainment of disadvantaged pupils and to ‘close the gap’ between their achievement and the achievement of those pupils who do not qualify.

Pupil Premium funding is paid to schools according to the number of pupils who :

  • Are eligible for free school meals
  • Are looked-after or have been looked-after children – children who have been in social care
  • Have parents in the armed forces.

At Woodlands we have a dedicated member of staff who is responsible for children who qualify for pupil premium or who are looked after.  Mr E Pearson-Shaul is the main contact. If you think your child may be eligible for extra funding please contact the school.
